A Pittsburgh native, Nicole Elizabeth Brown grew up in the kitchens of her Great Aunts and Oma.  These women brought strength & wisdom to their family with many of Nicole’s lessons learned while food was being prepared.  Instead of playing outside with her cousin’s, the kitchen always seemed more fun.

Even with staying busy with whatever life was throwing her way, the kitchen always called.  She was known to just whip something up for family, friends, and co-workers.  The joy was that others enjoyed the food she prepared.  In 2020, with very little family around and the world shut down;  the events of the time shed some light on the “important things”.  With energy redeployed, BrownButterCrumble was born.
